A creative campaign launch to drive domestic travel to NSW National Parks.

Challenge

LKB was briefed to deliver the ‘NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service tourism campaign’ launch event, in collaboration with NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) and Destination NSW. The media and industry event unveiled the first major advertising campaign from NPWS with a target to increase domestic travel to NSW’s National parks.

Strategy

LKB designed and delivered an in-person cocktail event that launched the campaign to Government, industry, influencers and media representatives.

The event was held at Strickland House, a NPWS venue, in Vaucluse. LKB worked with a team of suppliers to stage an event in the house, while showcasing the building and grounds.

Media and tourism influencers were invited to attend the event and guests heard insights from the then Minister for Environment and Heritage, the Hon. James Griffin, and then Minister for Aboriginal Affairs, Minster for the Arts, Minister for Regional Youth and the Minister for Tourism, The Hon. Benjamin Franklin.

Results

60 attendees.

Media and influencers from the tourism industry covered the event.

More than 20 industry organisations attended.
