Challenge

LKB was briefed to deliver the Investing in a Sustainable Future breakfast event which aimed to inform investors, conservation groups, farmers and landowners of the NSW Governments endeavours to accelerate natural capital investment in NSW.

It provided an opportunity for key stakeholders to participate in dialogue with the Minister for Environment and Heritage and special guest speaker, Dr Ken Henry AC, on how NSWs Natural Capital investment underpins the success of businesses globally.

LKB managed all event delivery requirements, supplier management and attendee correspondence.

A key challenge for the strategy and the event was to ensure that guests had the opportunity to collaborate with NSW Government and with other industry members about Natural Capital. LKB provided advice on the flow of the event so that participants gained valuable insights from discussions with key industry players.

Strategy

LKB designed and delivered an in-person event that opened conversations with attendees through a panel discussion with keynote speakers including Susheela Peres Da Costa, Chair of Responsible Investment Association of Australasia, Peter Holding, Crop and Sheep Farmer and Community Outreach Officer for Farmers for Climate Action, and Elizabeth OLeary, Head of Agriculture & Natural Assets at Macquarie Asset Management, and facilitated by Jennifer Hewitt from the Australian Financial Review.

The breakfast-style event engaged over 90 representatives from Government, industry and media, successfully encouraging better investment into natural capital.
