Challenge

The LKB Agency was approached by Transport for NSW in late 2022 to deliver a series of seven industry forums hosted by the NSW Minister for Regional Transport and Roads, the Hon. Sam Farraway. The forums provided an opportunity for active discussion with industry on the priorities and investments for freight in and around regional NSW, and for the Minister and Transport for NSW to hear directly from the industry about issues affecting them to jointly address the challenges ahead for the freight industry.

LKB was briefed to deliver the events remotely in seven locations, engaging with the freight industry, business community and members of the local councils in Parkes, Dubbo, Grafton, Tamworth, Singleton, Griffith and Narrabri.

Strategy

The LKB Agency designed and delivered the seven conference events remotely, facilitating an opportunity for key stakeholders to participate in dialogue with the Minister and leading Transport for NSW representatives to jointly address the freight challenges ahead. The forums engaged more than 150 representatives from industry, Government and councils, successfully informing and engaging the freight industry.

LKB managed all content and logistics for the forums including invitations, reminder to RSVP and looking forward to seeing you copy, media release and intranet article, event collateral, presentation, program, Ministers speaking notes, Mayor/MP speaking notes, MC speaking notes, overarching narrative development, development of detailed run-sheets, speaker briefing sessions, pre-event briefings and supplier management. The LKB team also managed the Eventbrite set up and management, invite list, RSVP management, attendee email communication and follow up calls to invitees.
