ACCIONA COBRA Joint Venture (ACJV)

Challenge

ACJV, the ACCIONA COBRA Joint Venture for the Design and Construction of the Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) transmission project, required certification of a set of management plans, strategies and documents prior to beginning construction of the transmission network in the Central-West Orana REZ.

Strategy

LKB was engaged to provide technical writing support to ACJV as they prepared to start construction on a major infrastructure project. Our strategy included embedding Communication and Engagement Manager, Kyra Stanley, into the team four days per week initially for three months.

During this secondment, Kyra supported a variety of departments across the project team in achieving certification of management plans that complied with their Statement of Technical Requirements in the contract deed and the Minister’s Conditions of Approval.

This included reviewing, editing and actioning comments and feedback, and ensuring consistency in language and messaging across plans. Additionally, Kyra supported the relevant teams to update documentation in alignment with the appropriate brand guidelines.

To support long term consistency in the development of future plans and strategies, Kyra developed an editorial style guide and Microsoft templates for the ongoing use across the project.

Results

Initially requested for a three month period, Kyra was extended to be embedded within the project team for a total of 12 months to support the work.

Supported over 20 plans in achieving certification or endorsement.
