The complex challenge

How do you engage communities across NSW on a statewide EV fast charging rollout, with varying levels of awareness and confidence in the technology, while coordinating multiple stakeholders including government, charge point operators and local councils?

The solution

The LKB Agency developed a place based community engagement approach to support the rollout of EV fast charging infrastructure across NSW.

We created a structured model that could be applied consistently across all locations, while still being tailored to each community, environment and level of EV awareness. Each event was designed to create opportunities for community members to engage directly with EV infrastructure, ask questions and speak with industry experts.

LKB worked closely with DCCEEW, charge point operators and local stakeholders to coordinate delivery, align messaging and manage attendance across all events.

We delivered the program end-to-end, including local promotion, stakeholder coordination, on-site event delivery and media support.
